Looking over a few old Beckets from the 1990's. At one time these guys were "Hot" in the hobby:
Kevin Todd
Ken Hodge Jr.
Gilbert Dionne
Pat Falloon
Roman Hamrlik
Alexandre Daigle
Sergei Fedorov, Jeremy Roenick and Eric Lindros are all over these things as well. After the Panthers cup run, John Vanbiesbrouck was all over thing thing as well.
And these guys were "Cold"
Wayne Gretzky - Aside from Owen Nolan, may have the record for being #1 on Beckett's Cold list.

Eric Lindros - The holdout did prevent some people from buying his cards

Joe Thornton - 1997 was the time to buy his stuff. It's cooled a lot over the past couple years but Thornton was thoguht of as a bust in 97.
Owen Nolan - Nolan held the #1 position on the cold list for almost an entire year based on a bad rookie campaign with a team as weak as todays Blue Jackets.
