One card patchy mailday ... I need a patch detective

Hey,

I just got this Cujo in the mail today:

the patch is really cool looking, I count 4 different colours and multiple breaks. I managed to grab this off ebay on a buy it now, the card cost me a total of $13.00. I have another copy of this card already (obviously with a different patch) but for that price I thought I would treat myself to a second copy. Does anyone know where this patch would come from? I have tried to figure it out but I am not a good detective. :|

Comments and help on the patch would be appreciated.

Nice patch, my guess as to where it's from, the coyote snout but flipped upside down?

That's definitely not from the main Coyotes logo. Nowhere on the logo is there a section where white trim is outlined in black trim. White is only found on the very outside border of the Coyotes logo.

Can't be the older Coyotes logo because those had all square angles and again, only white on the outside.

It could be from the Decade in the Desert patch on his chest, but I can't match it up to fit in any one spot exactly.

I may be wrong, but I think the curve of white & black on the right side of the patch may be part of a letter, like the top of an S or a D

Based on the colours, it HAS to be from the coyotes. I dunno anyone that uses burgundy, white and that sand colour.

its from the Decade in the Desert patch. the red/Maroon is part of the jersey. its in the lower left part of "D". sorry for my poor phootoshoping skills. or lack thereof
