Yeah, I don't think it would be hard, just time consuming as Chris says to find all those cards. And I'm guessing the more different cards you can use, the better it will look. So it can't be a player with only 20 or so cards. :)

thats pretty cool. I wouldn't mind giving that a shot some day. I have 800 theo fleury doubles kicking around here collecting dust lol

the easiest way to set it up would be to scan a bunch of base cards you have tons of, put them in a folder and run a mosiac program on the folder. Then blow up the image and it'll tell you exactly where to put your cards ;)

For some reason I tried to make the flames logo with theo fleury cards, if you squint real hard it looks ok, otherwise it looks like a mess of random cards :D

I think I need to dig out a few cards with more red on them to help fill in that C.
 
Why not just make the back of his Jersey. Should be easy enough to do his name and number?? Just a thought.

haha, nah the ceilings in here are only ~9 feet :)

I was going to do the back of the jersey but with the cards I scanned I couldn't get the #'s on back to look anything like 14, just a couple of white spots :(

the guy that made that lemieux one is gooooood! (but he probably spent more than an hour on it lol)
