Have no doubt this set will do well but it does not impress, then again I do not care for overly shiny cards anymore, too many parallels devalues the autos overall. if this was baseball where the parallels are highly valued compared to most hockey collectors who prefer the true rookie not the parallel.
Personally, I love the look, as well as what seems to be UD's attempt at a Topps Chrome feel. I think this product will sell fairly well and have some decent appeal because the price point is decent. I'm in for 6 boxes, and presumably more if all goes well.
I'm disappointed that the base set rookies are not auto'd. On the flipside it's nice to have rookies mixed in the base set and not always shortprinted.
