OPC Update Cancelled?

Can anyone shed some light on why this happened... were the pre-sales really bad? Or did the NHL claim they were worming their way around the 10 set max?

Anyone shed light on this? I was actually looking forward to the Update.

I don't remember reading anything about 10 set max. Hell, they won't be able to stay under 10 with Ultimate, SP Authentic and The Cup still to come.

Thus i'm a wee bit confused.

Is OPC Update really that popular to begin with? Every shop I walk into, the owner has a bunch of this stuff on the shelf. Maybe UD saw fit to remove it and use that slot for another product.

All the big rookies were in the set already - no one's going to buy a set with guys that were (gasp) traded, were they?
