OT (a bit) - Web Commerce

Hi all,

With the recent announcements from eBay and how they're essentially making it tougher on the sellers, I am starting to look at eStore options to augment my offerings. Not totally dropping eBay by any means, as it obviously has a worldwide audience that I'm sure I'd never be able to attain, plus this isn't my life...just a hobby

My current web hosting provider supports all the major programming and databases, but I'd like to do something that is PHP-base (since I have just the slightest bit of experience with it)...

Ones I'm starting to compare...

AgoraCart
Zen Cart

Are there any other fellow members that have a web store-front using any of these? For now I want to stick to open-source, and then support them if I stick with it.

Looking for opinions on what people use out there...

I know little about eCommerce but as far as moving cards, you can't get the audience anywhere else that you get on eBay so they pretty much have us over a barrel. I figure it is only gonna cost an extra $.25 for every $10 in sales based upon the new rules, so my recommendation is to perhaps raise your S & H rates by a bit or just bite the bullet. My $.02.... When I evaluated the solutions, I found that osCommerce was the best bet. It was the most well-developed solution, with ZenCart a close 2nd.

However, I've yet to implement it - I simply have it installed. osCommerce looks quite professional, and appears to - far and away - have the easiest interface to use.
