I ordered $112 worth of goods from blowoutcards.com (tax/ship included). It was sent via UPS. Today I saw the pickup tag with a "COD Brokerage" amount of $83.01! :| I'm already pretty sure after some initial research, that the fee is just way off in general (Brokerage Prices), but what can I do to fight this?

I've read some tips on filing through the Better Business Bureau, because it's poorly disclosed and you aren't given a chance to clear it yourself (unless you've heard about this in advance).

Does anyone here have experience dealing with this? I'd like some help. My sale prices have been completely wiped out by these fees. Thanks in advance!

Sorry, that is UPS for you. Order from Dave and Adams if you must get it from the US...they ship DHL and it's much more reasonable.

it may be too late, but it is possible to self broker items. it isn't very difficult, and it should save you $50 or so although it will involve a little driving around

thats pretty damn crazy...but again thats UPS for ya....i also recently ordered a game used item which cost around $50 US(plus shipping)....and i got dinged with $43 and change in customs/broker fees....total scam in my opinion....then even more recently i sent a $400 US card from canada to US and they only had to pay about $40 in broker fees....i don't understand how they come up woth those figures...i've tried fighting it thru canada post before but got nowhere...goodluck with you run at it!
