Hi guys new to the site. Just wondering if anyone from Ottawa can sugest the best spot to buy packs and boxes? I know there is Jim and Miraj but any other stores? Who usully has the best pricing??? Best Customer service??? Easy to trade with???

I would have to agree with the above. gamebreakers is the best all around. After first release Miraj tends to be a bit cheaper (by a couple $$) but the people at GB are far more personable and easy to talk to. Jims is a bit more expensive and again I don't think they are as easy to talk to. 9 1/2 hobby addicts out of 10 choose GameBreakers.

As noted above - Game Breakers is a great shop. A true hobby hotspot, where you will meet people who really love the hobby on both sides of the counter.

Miraj does sometimes have lower prices on certain things, especially after release, but it depends product by product.

I personally really like Jim's as well. I find the guys there pretty freindly.

Another good spot, over on the Quebec side is Coin de la Carte Sportive. It's not far from the museum of civilization, almost across from the St. Hubert Chicken place. It's another spot with great atmosphere. A bit smaller than gamebreakers, but still a good shop.

I visit Ottawa about twice a year, but have never been to any card shops. Do any of them sell baseball?

Another plus for Gamebreakers. I visit whenever I go through Ottawa and am always happy with the selection and prices.

Coin de la Carte Sportive has been my shop for several years. Lots of nice, high-end singles. Good prices on packs, good atmosphere, several regular customers (and if you like poker or other card games, he loves 'em). Great cards being pulled at that shop (3 Crosby 1/1s were pulled there if I'm not mistaken, as well as the 05-06 Decades Gold Habs 1/1 and a bunch of others which I won't bother listing).

I should check out what Gamebreakers looks like also, 'cuz I pretty much purchased all the Spezza cards available at my current shop.

And to adamcm, yes my shop sells a bit of baseball. Nothing super high-end, but he sells a bit of low to mid-end wax and a few singles. Heck, he even sells tennis, Yugi-oh, and a bunch of other stuff! But the best part is, taxes are always included in his prices, and he usually gives you free protection (toploader, penny sleeve) if you pull a good card or 2 out of your purchases.
