Ovechkin proud to pass Fedorov for most points by Russia-born player

When you look at the all time regular season goal scorers- the only player in that category in the top 50 who has played the bulk/entirety of his career during the 2000s is Alexander Ovechkin (unless you want to include Jagr and Iginla since they played forever). It is my opinion that he is the best pure goal scorer of all time and had he played in the 80s and early/mid 90s, he would score 75 plus a year. I mean come on, now you score 30 goals a year and you are a highly sought after player...

I gotta say I agree with this. If Bure or fedorov Or Selanne started playing in the league at the same time as Ovechkin I think we might have a different story.
