As far as I understand , he is "just" collecting the images , not the cards themselves .

It is just the images. I've been working on collecting all the images from a bunch of sets. I have over 1900 Cup Foundations Patches / Patch Autos, over 900 SPGU Supremes (Patches, Sticks, Gloves, Skates) and over 1500 Upper Deck Patches.
