Owen Nolan gets wild!!!

Great contract for Nolan. I never expected him to be around as long as he's been. He was very consistant last year for Calgary. Hope he does well in Minn.
 
Wow that is a new one. I never in my wildest dreams would of thought he would be a WILD.. I am actually happy with this signing because he is alot tougher then Rolston.

I like Owen from waaaay back in his Nordique days but I think the Wild paid way too much for him. Much like Finger, Blake, etc..... Good for him though, can't blame the players for the amount on the contracts.

After he went to toronto i thought his career was done. I used to get to watch him every night at the tank when he was in the bay...glad to see he's doing well this late in his career

I totally agree...but if you look at it the salary cap is high enough to pay this much. The minimum being at 40 mil doesn't help
 
I love ONO but for 2.75mil I am glad the Flames passed. I could see Sutter offering him 1.75, maybe even 1.9 a season for two more. Good for him to hit the payday and even though Calgary has lost a lot of heart, grit and leadership I think Nolan's replacement will be a lot faster so overall, the loss will be minimized.
