Okay, so this is my first time using my scanner, and Photobucket, and posting photos on a forum, so please bear with me. Any and all criticism/advice is appreciated! I haven't read any threads on how to do this, which is probably a mistake, but let's see if this works...

I went to a Pack Wars at my local shop, also the first of these I have ever participated in. I made out alright... It could have probably been a lot worse. Sorry if these scans are boring. I know I'm not as much of a high roller as most on here.

I also split a box of Artifacts with a guy there, and we both kind of ended up with alright cards.

Is the redemption Cody Mcloed? Does anyone know? It is RED293.

Also, here are the main pickups I've gotten in the past little while for my PC. Sorry for the blurry scan.

I need to get some trades under my belt, so all is for trade, except for the PC stuff, and maybe the Legace, if you would read this upcoming inquiry.

I was going to post a different thread about this, but hopefully someone will see it here. What is the return policy for Upper Deck? If I have a card that is damaged straight out of the pack, can I send it back? The Manny Legace above was the best pull I got from the pack wars, and it is almost untradable. Do I send it into UD? If I do, do I suggest what I'd like in return, or do they not take anything into consideration? I understand all these are pretty basic questions, so please bear with the new guy! Thanks for reading, and thanks in advance for any feedback!

Nice pull on the UD patch.

I was that you got some Parkhurst SPs /3999. I still need these for my set: # 176 – 193 – 210 – 222. I'm wondering if you can help.

Welcome to HI!

With the damage to the Manny card I would call UD first and explain that it is damaged. Try to speak with Barry as he has better hockey knowlage than most of the other c/s guys. They should give you a card for it (as they should have packed all the patch cards) so it may not be of equal value (they can get it right and sometimes better than right but mostly they get it wrong).

As for the breaks nice cards. All I would add is scan the Manny card on itsown so we can have a look at the damage

welcome to HI!the scans came out very nice,so you did good there.second, don't ever feel like your cards are sub-par compared to other collectors stuff, thats not the way the guys/gals are on this site.we appreciate what others collect as much as our own collections.i get more of a thrill looking at posts of worthless '90's inserts than i do at 1/1 auto'd logo patch cards.always love what ucollect and collect what you love.
as for the Legace, what is the problem with it?if it is damaged, they will probably give you the "item non replenishable" letter back with the same card and some type of sealed pack compensation, which usually is a "hit" packof the same tiered product.so it can't hurt to send it to their customer service reps which can be found at upperdecktradingcards.com
just make sure when you send it to them you send it registered or certified mail.they tend to lose things once in awhile, and that is the only garaunteed way of knowing that they recieved your card.goodd luck with it,it has a sweet swatch on it.:)

I'd bet the Avalanche redemption is Chris Stewart, McLeod was a holdover rookie so he already has RC's, the redemptions are just for guys who debuted this season.

I'll echo what someone else said - don't worry about not being a 'high roller.' That's not what the hobby is about. Focus on what you want to collect and what makes you happy.

What store do you go to in Abbotsford? Abby Sports Cards? I go over there every couple of weeks and try to drop by that store. Jason and Justin are great guys.

I can probably help you out with your Kesler collection if you are interested.

Thanks for the reply! Yes, I try to get to Abby sports cards weekly. For singles, they are very reasonable, and they are genuine guys, too. I would appreciate any help you could give me with Kesler! That would be stellar! I will be getting my trade cards scanned soon, as I have just began my photobucket account. I am also trying to build up my trade bait, so I'll try and update it frequently.

Thanks for the knowledge! Definitely something I didn't know.

Thanks for the reply, the encouragement about my budget, and the tip about registered mail. I'll keep that in mind!

Thanks for the reply! The only ones I have of the SPs are the ones I posted, I'm pretty sure. They are numbered 163, 182, 186, and 237. I'm sorry I couldn't help more!

I tried to scan it on black so it maybe could be a little more noticeable than on white. You be the judge. Also, I've tried a few ways of cropping and resizing on photobucket, and it hasn't worked, so forgive me. The damage is as follows: The top left corner is rounded, which I don't think you can really see; the top right corner is bent; the entire top edge is chipping, aswell as the area just to the right of the word "patch." Let me know what you guys think. I think it's pretty annoying. I'll ask for Barry when I call. Thanks!

Looking at the card I can see the top ding and the chipping. Seems to have the standard UD damage so I would ask for something from cs. You might just get a couple of packs and the same card back but the patch is good so someone will want it even ith damage.

As all the others have said the fact yours is not a big$ break means nothing. This site is for collectors. We all collect to our own budgets I have a pretty high end flames collection but in reality I show off my Stefan Meyer cards more than my flames ones! Collecting a little guy with only a few cards has been much more fun for me than chasing tons of high end singles over the last year! Whatever you choose to collect someone here will have something you need and trading with the guys and getting to know who collects who is all part of the fun.
