As great as some of Ziggy's seasons were in the 2000's, his stock went south after the fiasco with the Islanders. Too bad, he could be exciting to watch on some nights.
Yup it's confirmed on the Penguins website, evective immediately, due to personal reasons. As a pens fan all I can say is I hope Leclair does the same! The team is now in shambles!
Once a player officially retires the team doesn't pay him. Well this bites, not only my favorite player in the nhl but also my 1st pick in my draft! I guess you can say that is not going well (havlat, briere, lemieux and now palffy). I think Lemieux will be next to announce.
Boy, if Ziggy and Mario would just have retired during the lockout the Pens might not be playing for first place in the Eastern Conference Dumpster Cup...
I love ziggy he was a point magnet for my fantasy team a few years ago when he was still in LA. Palffy can flat out play the game he can score and pass. jason
Love all these people saying this was a good move for the pens. He only has a point a game and is plus 5 on one of, if not the crappiest team in the NHL. They will miss him.
