with the announcement of no Panini hockey next year - does anyone know if they still plan to be at Expo?

The person who runs the Sports Card Expo in Toronto sent out an April 9th blast email saying that all three (UD, ITG, and Panini) were confirmed. However, I've only seen redemption programs for UD and ITG up to this point.

If I was Panini, I would definitely attend, and make a ridiculously awesome redemption to say - in your face...this is what you will be missing - should reconsider!

When the announcement came down I kind of suspected they wouldn't show. Why would they do a hockey oriented Expo when the whole intent is to entice customers to the products you will continue to make.

They haven't been booted out yet... they still have the responsibility of promoting and moving the hockey products they have and will have up until their license expires.

Well said. If anything they'll want to use Expo to help move their remaining inventory. I can see them having a fantastic redemption program.

Here's hoping this is true. UD's redemption program is junk, and I really don't do ITG stuff. I don't care too much for Panini either, but if it's stellar, I'll spend some time there...

Panini has yet to have a steller redemption program at the Expo, it will be more geared to Basketball if anything.

I've always enjoyed the Panini redemption program, open basically all day unlike UD and you get packs and have a chance to pull cool cards. I would rate the redemption programs ITG, Panini and then UD (I don't like standing in that line)

Disagree, I thought there program at Fall Expo was one of the best of all time between the VIP party and the silver packs.

I like how the panini promote upcoming new releases but cant comment on here if they are coming to the expo...........
Unless they cannot comment on here about the expo, an announcement should be made as to whether they are coming or not by someone in the organization somewhere on some site, maybe their blog?

Nothing on their blog, nothing on twitter, no comments made by anyone. They could at least let people know so they can make other plans besides busting at their booth. Another not so smart move by Panini.

Agreed. As shop owners how are we supposed to plan for the expo? ITG and UD released details weeks ago.
