Yes,I'm aware many are aware of the news.
One Legendary coach that doesn't get to ride off into the sunset...
Surprised but not going to speculate as only the officals investigating the case can come with the answers.
Just goes to show no one is above the law..such a shame..NOT sure he can come up with the right answers to save face.

It's a shame that such a revered coach's career should end in disgrace. With that said, even though he did not witness the act and reported what he was told, as a responsible adult it was his responsibility to make sure there was follow through on the situation and that the proper authorities were contacted (police, DA, etc).

Theo Fleury said it best: "I have one stand. If an adult has even the slightest suspicion that a child is being abused, it is your duty as an adult to stand up for that child and do something now."

There was no other recourse. I won't crucify Paterno; I think he initially did the right thing but I can't get over the fact that he never followed up.

I don't think Jopa did enough of the right thing. If this happened to his own son, I would bet dollars to donuts he would kick up a bigger stink about it. My gut feeling is a civil suit is going to come against him soon. I am not sure about US law but pretty sure he will get sued for something.

Paterno did the minimum required of him. Notify his superiors. However, he should have gone to the police himself. His firing had to be done. And those students that rioted last night to get their heads out of their ****s and realize what their tacitly approving of by rioting. I hope that all those morons involved last night are identified and immediately expelled.
