Sorry guys if this in the wrong section but has anyone had problems with credit card payments using paypal.

3 straight purchaese it's telling me an error when I hit funding options that my credit card cannot be used and option is not available ,I have to use my bank account. I've called paypal twice and they have said it's a security feature??????

This has happened out of the blue and although they tell me I'm in good standing ,they can't do anything about this.

Has this happened to anyone else cause if this doesn't fix itself, this will affect my purchases

Anybody?

I have been getting some errors lately but I keep trying until it lets me do what I want to do. There is no way I would ever pay with my bank account via paypal. if something goes wrong with the deal paypal would be your only recourse, and in my limited experience with deals gone south, paypal protection is little more than words.

Is there anyway you could delete the card and add it again, or add a different card?

I think this is paypals way of protecting themselves from not being able to recover funds from sellers who empty their paypal accounts right away. When you pay with a credit card and have a dispute paypal can find in your favor but if the seller has no money in their account they can't recover any for you however your credit card will refund you and paypal gets shafted.

As a suggestion, perhaps call your credit card company to ensure the difficulty isn't with them...sometimes they'll turn down a purchase when they're concerned it's not legitimate so the purchase gets blocked because of "security concerns" on the part of the credit card company.

Credit card is fine and yes, these are all ebay purchases. What get's me is they recognize my good standing and see there is a problem but No ,they can't do anything about,it's the programs fault??????

That's not good enough!!!

If it's what's Steve is suggesting, that's pretty sad . We are all caught in the paypal-ebay cycle,no alternative. Anyhow,I've tried putting in the credit card again and see what happens. Hope this does the job

Thanks Guys
