Hi folks,
A few people have asked to see some of my PC cards and so I thought I'd scan a few and add them here. Here we go!
My favourite Canuck cards... the King Richard is a 1/1, thanks to Megatron!
It's because of these two cards that I got into the 03/04 BAP Ultimate set. The Nazzy is one of 15 cards I have (out of 30) and the Bert is one of 16 cards I have (also, out of 30). Yep... got over 1/2 of the outstanding cards!
A few of my favourites... the Yzerman Retro 1/1... Rocket Richard's rookie... and a very hard card to find, the Orr Retro Inkredible /25!
Some of my older, graded cards... not in the best shape, but they're still wicked cards... Cyclone Taylor's rookie (1911)... a really nice Georges Vezina... Art Ross' rookie (1910)... and the "non-existent" Gordie Howe Retro!
I always wanted a Gretzky / Howe auto together, but until I saw this card I wasn't sure which one to buy. Also got a great Tony O auto from the Legendary set... only 24 in existence.
I love cards with multiple autographs... even if they are stickers... just seem really classy, some of them at least. When I saw the Quad of Fuhr, Brodeur, Roy and Tony O (basically the last three decades of ultimate goalies!), I had to have it. Then I saw a Quad of my Canucks, so grabbed that... although Jovo's gone. I picked up the triple auto Oilers from eBay as I needed it for my set... wicked card!
Up until about a year ago, I didn't own a single Gretzky auto. I've rectified that problem now...
These next three are, I'm told but still can't seem to verify, three of the four Gretzky autos from the 99/00 UD Gretzky Exclusive set. If they truly are, I'm just missing the Rangers one!
I'm not a big Sidney Crosby fan... I do think he's talented and I'm sure he'll do wonders for Pittsburgh, and the league for that matter, but had to get these two /25 cards from SPx!
Finally... two of my absolute favourite cards... everyone knows how difficult it can be to snag one of the SPx Flashback Fabrics cards of Gretzky, especially the All-Star one. Well thanks to a case from eBay, I pulled this one from a pack!! Almost fell off my chair, especially when I saw one sell on eBay a couple weeks ago for $3,000!!
My ultimate favourite card in my collection... a Bobby Orr auto, Glenn Hall, Noel Picard & Bobby Orr jersey /10 card from 03/04 BAP Ultimate! I actually bought this card off eBay and as luck would have it, got another one from a pack I cracked! I actually could have bought a third one, but decided one was enough and unloaded the second one off to Rod (crankshaft). This remains one of my holy grails though... hard to match this!
Well, those are my biggies... still picking up sweet cards as I go and looking for a couple serious white whales (04/05 UD Legendary Miracle Men autos of Jim Craig & Neal Broten). Thanks for looking!
