Hey everyone,

I'm been perusing the board for quite some time following the latest hobby happenings - watching YouTube videos, attended the National in Chicago back in August 2019, contributed a little bit in another thread, but I wanted to formally introduce myself.

I'm Casey - owner and operator of PenguinsChronicles.com. My collection primarily focuses on Mario Lemieux, Sidney Crosby, and the memorabilia from the five Stanley Cup championship seasons of 1991, 1992, 2009, 2016 and 2017.

I attended Games 5 & 6 of the 2016 and 2017 Stanley Cup Finals with my family and those moments were the greatest sports experiences I've ever had as a fan. I've been following the Penguins since 1995 when I was 13 years old.

The canvas above the sectional below is of Patric Hornqvist's Stanley Cup-winning goal in 2017 with my family celebrating the goal right above Hornqvist in the third row at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

Here's a view into my basement...

The jerseys next to the TV are Mario Lemieux's game worn 1991 Stanley Cup Final jersey and skates and on the right, his 1992 Stanley Cup Final game worn jersey and pants.

The rest of that wall has game worn jerseys of Sidney Crosby from 2008-09, 2015-16 and 2016-17. On the back wall are more game worn jerseys of Mario Lemieux - two from 1988-89 including the jersey he wore when he scored five goals five different ways on New Year's Eve 1988 which was voted the greatest moment of the NHL's first 100 years and another jersey from 1992-93. On the stairwall are Stanley Cup Final jerseys from the 2009, 2016 and 2017 Stanley Cup Final of Gonchar, Schultz and Maatta.

Behind the couch are all five of the Stanley Cup championship trophies produced by Boffey that are given to team executives and players with all of the team members names engraved on each along with the Stanley Cup rings from each championship.

Obviously this is primarily a card forum so I'll share some of my collection and collecting goals. I collected cards from the late 1980's through mid-90's of Dan Marino - my football idol - until I gravitated to hockey in 1995. I then found eBay a few years later and would order cards through eBay by sending checks or money orders - yes, there was a time when PayPal didn't exist.

As my collection has evolved, so have my collecting goals.

Welcome to the forums for starters. Secondly, I feel like your collection, with much more effort, could eventually amount to something pretty impressive. Completely kidding. I started scrolling my my jaw's been on the floor for a while now. Unbelievable collection. The cards alone but the memorabilia is amazing. Heck of a show, thanks for showing it off!

This is an incredible collection and setup. I love collections where you can just feel the collector's love for the game. Even better that you've made it a family affair.

I had the pleasure of attending a Pens game at Mellon in 2009 - on the glass in one of the corners. Crosby netted a hat trick in a 6-1 win over the Canadiens. Chris Bourque had recently been picked up and Lemieux was hosting his father, Ray, at the game. Just an incredibly fun atmosphere.

Really love that room setup. I find some of the 'man caves' end up looking like kiddie play rooms. What you've done is very classy, and showcases great memorabilia. Very well done, I hope there is a nice bar to pull up a chair and have a scotch in that room!

Beautiful......just beautiful. My jaw has been one the floor since I saw this post and now it has rug burns. This is crazy. I have not seen a nicer set up of prime jerseys since I met Shawn Chaulk (Gretzky) on a game used forum back in the day and another user I believe his name screen name was Eximofab (Leafs) on the same forum.
