Playoff Chances

Only problem is they didn't take into accout Vancouver's annual slide in the last ten games of the season... I spent some time looking at the mathematics of it all and was quite impressed.

How are the Isles out and the Wings/Sharks In? Does it take into account all future match-ups where someone has to get 2 points???

hmm most team I'd describe as playoff "risks" lol. I would be surprised if tml, sens and those behind got anything to do with it. For western beside the Avs & Phx I got no clue, maybe cause lack of interest

I'm sure it does.

The Islanders have 52 points and only 15 games remaining. Their max point total is 82 points and that won't be enough for the playoffs.

Sure but it also takes into account that teams play each other multiple times so in order to knock a team out if they need 3 teams to all win all their remaining games and those teams play each other... well then its impossible for all 3 teams to win out...
