Please help: I think I was scammed by member: "m-_-c" here on HI

I sent him the $675 (via EMT) for the card in this thread:

He has gone dark. Hasn't responded to my PM's or email asking for tracking info.

Has anyone else tried to buy the card?

Does anyone have info on him? Does anyone know him or has met him in person?

His name is Matt Clark.

PLMK as I am on my way to the police station this afternoon and any further info would be appreciated if you've ever sent him anything and have his address?

Feel free to reply to me in PM with any info you may have.

I have banned him for now so as to ensure he doesn't login and change any of his info we have on file.

Just got back from the police station. My statement has been made and a case file has been opened.

I've never dealt with him but looking at his profile, he hadn't received any feedback since 2021 and he hasn't been on since June 10th. It's likely that he logged in just to pull off this quick scam. Sorry to hear about this, Jeremy : (

I wish I could be of more help with this

Here's hoping someone knows him and we can figure out what's going on. If he is a scammer I hope he gets caught and pays the price
 
Definitely get his IP address from the HI forum software if you can or contact your hosting provider to get help on that if you haven't already.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes and tips. I've since learned that he scammed two other people in a Tim Horton's facebook group.

Also thanks to the two members who reached out direct and provided more info which I will be adding to the police report.
 
Hmm, I am certain that I made a trade / sale / purchase with this individual as I remember the unique nickname. However I cannot find the transaction after searching through all the threads I am 'subscribed' to.

I believe he was primarily a Red Wings collector.

The case in the police queue and I've provided them two known addresses, phone number and all the IP addresses he used to login here. Hopeful they catch up with him.
