POLL: Do you HI eBay listings as part of your search

Do you use http://www.hobbyinsider.net/ebay.php to search for items on ebay first?

  • Yes, because I'd rather buy from a HI member

  • No, I don't, I'd just rather find the best deal period

I use the HI link probably 75 per cent of the time. The other 25 per cent I just type in 'hockey cards' in the search and scroll down until I find something interesting to bid on.
Thanks,
Bruce

I had seen a discussion about including an "HI code" on ebay auctions, but didn't remember what the code was, and didn't realize there was actually a direct link to these auctions available on HI itself.

I used the HIWS code in my listings for atleast 2 years now, always feel good to see an H.I member won your stuff, you know you wont have trouble with chargeback and all.

I dont remember in what section but it in sticky somewhere.

When you serch on ebay put HIWS in search and check the Include title and description box and you will find all the items from H.I members on ebay.

If you want your listing to appear on that list, put hiws somewhere in your description, i used it at the very bottom of my listing alone.

I've used the HIWS since coming on to HI. I only use it to see what members are offering/so other members can see what I am offering up on eBay and to hopefully strike a deal off eBay - it doesn't really influence the price I bid on the items themselves.
