2009 Most Generous Member of the Year,
It's been a busy month of acquisitions since my last S & T at the end of July
Haven't posted as often as I like to but cards keep coming in and I rarely have enough time to do a proper write up/post
Here is what I have picked up over the past 5 weeks or so.
Goalie RCs:
Will get the rest of the modern ones clued up when the OPC RCs come in

2013 BTP
Nothing like having to spend several dollars on base cards online cuz nobody busted enough locally to grab one for next to nothing - must be the lightest BTP has ever been busted?
1985 Junior Whalers
When it comes to Liut there isn't much left to get other than an oddball or two
Every once in a while these Junior Whaler sets show up - got this one on ebay (auto'ed to boot) for about $7 and this crosses off my oldest Liut issue that I still needed.

2012 ITG Ultimate Memorabilia AS Silver /24
Was a little surprised I landed this one. The S/H may have scared some bidders away but I landed this for $10 + $8 S/H - I was the only bidder.
Nice two colour swatch for each although I freakin hate Chris Chelios and am not fussy on him sharing a card with the immortal Burke :laugh:

2013 Artifacts Ruby /399 / Emerald /99
I really like the looks of the Artifacts this year. When I got the Sapphire version I had to get the Emerald for sure and I guess ultimately the rainbow if possible. What else is there, the black /1 ? OK maybe not
2014 UD Ultimate /499
Not gonna see much of this busted locally so grabbed this and a Bossy for Bossman22 to at least save a bit on shipping
2014 MVP ProSign
I don't know what the true odds are on these. I saw this card and thought what an awesome looking card. At first I even thought it was hard signed but realized it was a sticker. Still I went after this card and won it for the price of about half a box of MVP. I have seen some people post that it is an Sp or Group A - I haven't been able to confirm this but does anyone know if there is a Group odds listing?

2008 SPx Memorable Moments
Nice looking card. ebay seller had it listed with "case hit" in the title. Were they? Don't care, it is nice and won it for $12. Strange thing is I thought the win total was high and when I checked I found Vachon won 355 reg season games not 365. Strange that they would have it wrong but pretty sure 355 is the correct number.
1977-79 Spotscasters
I know I am a bit long in the tooth and I actually remember these cards growing up. I had a few of them but they are long gone. This is a nice oddball and, although a pain to store due to their size, it is still a Vachon I wanted and a trip down memory lane as well.
2007 BTP AU
Apparently these are SPs? I dunno, saw one listing that said it was. All I know is I landed this one for $6 and again I was the only bidder. It has been a buyer's summer for me for the most part. Being on a budget and getting some pretty good deals has been nice.
2006 UD Trilogy Scripts AU
7 different bidders, 14 total bids and I won this beauty for $12? A little weird, slightly surprising and completely happy to be the one on top :dance:
2011 Canada vs the World Auto
This one popped up the night I posted my last show and tell thread. I honestly never have hit a BIN faster. My Vachon PC parameters include only masked Kings issues and even more desirable are the Team Canada cards.
I have no idea if there are 10 of these or 100,000 but I really like this card and for $10 BIN - you gotta know I was stoked! The Mike Liut in this set I know is an SP and remains one of only a few Liut cards I need and is starting to become a mini white whale at this point.
Anyway there you have it. A busy month for me but some nice additions. Nothing too huge. Can't afford the Primes and National Treasures but that's fine. I am pursuing what I like and enjoying the hobby again.
I have had a busy start to September and can't wait for some of the recent acquisitions to arrive and show them off.
