I think I prefer the 30 YGs and 20 1st Round rookies format over just adding 20 extra common YGs. It'll be interesting to see how those will be regarded.

I agree. At least those will be, or should be better cards. I opened a lot of the first extended series and have done well. but not sure if the price increase is similar to series 1 if the value will be there. Especially without some big young guns
 
I see people on here and other sites getting confused about the 1st Round Rookie cards thinking that it will be Bedard's draft. The quote from the press release is "a subset for '22-23 rookies taken in the first round of the NHL Draft". I think that makes it pretty clear that it will be players like Slafkovsky, Wright, Power, Beniers, Johnson, Quinn, Boldy, etc. All players who are 2022-23 rookies that were 1st round draft picks.

This is correct. And much better than 20 no names YGs :)
