Collectors says it has a deal in place to acquire Beckett, but don't look for any immediate changes in how the latter operates.

While they say they'll maintain the brand, I can't see the value in that, unless they market it as a preference for a certain look or type of card. They'll likely choke it out over time and make everyone go to PSA. Interesting indeed.

trouble is what i see also , when fanatics/Topps made Allan Ginter straight to consumer instead of releasing to hobby stores ( this is what i have been told ,as i was looking for hobby boxes).Please correct me if i am wrong and point me at those hobby boxes on a store website. I see some writing on the wall that i consider trouble for the hobby .

I have been told by my distributors that they will no longer be receiving ANY Topps hobby boxes, only retail SKUs. My customers are unhappy with me, but nothing I can do about it.

As for the PSA/Beckett stuff, the faster the grading scam crashes, the better off the actual hobby will be.

yea the fact that anyone is paying good money for slabbed cards is just funny. What's a bigger waste? paying the money to grade them or those paying a high premium for a graded card lol
