Sometimes the quality overtrumps the quantity, and I have to make a mail post a few days before I normally would... not that it's a bad thing, of course :D

01-02 BAP Memorabilia Sheldon Keefe Emerald (/10) MOJO!!!
We'll start things out with one of the best! This is the one I had alluded to for quite a while; unfortunately, its transit to me from western Canada took quite some time. Rest assured, it's here, and I'm halfway through the 01-02 Emerald cards I need for my player collections now.

This one must have slipped under the radar on ebay, thanks to a really bad auction title, and I picked it up for $0.99 plus shipping. It doesn't get any better than that.

97-98 Donruss Priority Opening Day Issue Postcards Sergei Samsonov (/1000)
97-98 Donruss Priority Gold Stamps Sergei Samsonov
Got these in trade from a guy who is breaking a lot of this product. Neither of these cards have been particularly easy to find, but now that lots of old product is being opened up, that's becoming easier. It's good to remove these two from my list, finally.

00-01 SP Game Used Ruslan Fedotenko RC (/900)
97-98 Pacific Omega Ice Blue Kevin Weekes
The Fedotenko goes towards my quest to own all of his rookie cards, and I got it from Beckett Buy/Sell. I only need three more: Topps Premier Plus, SP Authentic, and Titanium Hobby.

The Omega Weekes came as an absolute surprise from Brian (Langway)! Again, thank you for sending it along! Rest assured, it's got a good home.

03-04 Pacific Heads Up Hobby Limited Kevin Weekes (/299) (#201!!!)
03-04 Pacific Invincible Blue Sergei Samsonov (/350)
More Pacific parallels for the player collections. Eventually, I'll have them all, right? Actually, I only need two more Pacific parallels from 03-04 (both Samsonov), but still I need 4 base cards from various brands in the same year.

These two came from a great ebay seller, Andrew Dudas.

03-04 BAP Memorabilia Kevin Weekes Emerald (5/10) (#202!!)
I got a random check in the mail from my Grandparents. If it hadn't come, this purchase would not have been possible. I outbid not only Chrystalee, but also Eric Mundy, the other Weekes collector. Otherwise, this card speaks for itself.

03-04 BAP Memorabilia The Mask III Gold Kevin Weekes (/30) (#203!!!)
Prompting me to make this mail post today is the fact that the last two cards both arrived today, ON THE SAME DAY, and I didn't want to sit on them without getting the pictures up! :D Getting all the Weekes cards from 03-04 BAP Memorabilia has proved difficult, but I've only got one more I need: the Autographed Mask version, out of 10.

The Gold Mask here came from my new favorite trader, Sauli, who has (somewhat coincidentally) been able to help me out significantly three times in the past couple of months. Again, thank you!

News and notes:

**Today's additions brings the Weekes count to 203. The next Weekes card I receive in will break the 90% mark. Unfortunately, I don't have any deals being made for Weekes cards right this second, although I might be pulling in a ridiculously important Weekes card in a month or two after my tax returns come back...

**I revamped my Beckett userpage yesterday. Here's the end result: http://www.beckett.com/userpages/hatzosman6.html . I'll probably be updating my online want and trade lists by the end of the week, as well.

**A post by Mike (bigcheez99) over at Beckett has prompted me to begin posting my mail days over there again, as well. Hopefully the image police don't come down on me, but the cool thing is, over there I can put the images directly in the post. Here, for some reason, HobbyInsider rejects images from my server and I have to make links to them. The images in my signature are linked from elsewhere, which is how they are able to work. Back to the subject though, I decided I want to share my mail posts with a bigger audience, and so I might as well post them there too.

That'll be it. Thanks everyone!

Thanks for the read! :D

As well, you're welcome on the Weekes item! It now has a good home! ;)

BTW! The filter at work doesn't allow pics to be viewed from your site! :(

Awesome mailday Andy!

Yours are always one of the funnest to read. And to get that 01-02 emerald for so cheap is unheard of (well, unheard of nowadays!). AWESOME!

If ya don't mind me asking, what did that Weekes 03-04 emerald set ya back? You can PM me with the price if ya like (just curious)

great PC mailday man!

Andy, great mailday post as usual. Congrats on knocking off some tough cards from the wantlist.

#@($*&@#($&*@#$!!! You're lucky I didn't catch that cuz I still need it ;)

Nice grab! I hope the one I snag goes for that cheap as well :D

CJ, I was waiting for your snipe in the last 10 seconds of the auction, and was surprised it never came! I knew you were still going after the Keefe, too.

Though "emerald" wasn't in the title, Keefe's name was... so I'm guessing that anyone crazy enough to collect Keefe doesn't want the card, except me. I doubt you'll have any difficulty picking the next one up.

Ernie: if anyone really cared to look it up on ebay, they could do it, so I've got no problem posting the figure on here; It was just shy of $30.00 for the Weekes emerald. Aside from a few really small purchases, it's basically shot my card budget until my tax refunds come in.

Prongs: Thanks!

Brian: Thanks again for the Weekes :D I'm not sure what to say about your issues with viewing my pictures, but it's rather unfortunate. Perhaps it's a similar problem to the one I'm having with the board, or perhaps your filter at work just isn't very cooperative. I host my images from a server that my friend has set up himself, so it's not a major website... since it's unknown, perhaps a filter decided to block it somewhere along the line.

Was emerald even in the description?? I have it so it checks titles and descriptions, and usually check the auctions with no year in the title just to make sure. Dang it :(

CJ, the word "emerald" was never in the auction description at all. The only way I found it was during my search for Keefe.

Actually, I had a couple other ways I could have found it too, but until I've got all the emeralds I need I think I'll keep those under my hat ;)
