Hey guys,

Well after about 30 boxes of the stuff I finally found a patch! Never seen one before. Here's the question:

I know they are suppose to be serial # to 10 but this one has no number on it, nor is there anyway to tell this is the patch version other than the amazing 3 colour stitch swatch! It looks exactly like the regular version, it even says "Game worn Jersey". Has anybody seen one of these that actually had the serial number stamped on it? The card looks amazing (too bad it's only Sydor) I see why it's/10, the patch is from the shoulder. Any help would be much appreciated.

How THICK is the card? Those ones were huge planks. That could help answer your question.

It's actually the same size as the Jersey version, average size for a Jersey/Patch card. It's not as thick as the "Great Gloves" cards if that's what you meant.

It's the patch version all right. There are more cards out there without a serial#. I recall a Bourque patch on eBay a few months back.

Hope this helps! Regards, Patrick

That isn't a "patch" card - it's a great swatch from another patched part of the jersey, but not an official "patch" card.

I just seen a Bure that ended on Ebay with no mention of it being /10 and it appears to be a patch as well. Steve have you actually seen one with the /10 stamped on it?

I have seen the ones with the serial numbering. I have a Modano like yours, but it isnt serial numbered. I have also seen the real serial numbered versions as well (I have seen a Modano and owned a Bourque at one point...They are serial numbered in a gold box on the bottom right corner). I would say that is a jersey card, with a sweet patch piece...

I have seen some stunning jersey versions with Patches on them - BUT they were not the PATCH VARIATIONS. The Patch cards were 3 times thicker (at least) and has the Gold Foil in the lower right had corner with this:
GAME WORN
XX/10 (on a gold foil rectangle)
PATCHES

Hopefully the scan will come out - as my scanner is applying for Social Security Benefits next week. Hope this helps!!!

Bruce,

That's a pretty sexy card ya' got there :D

Like many have already mentioned, the patch variations are much thicker than the regular version. It's literally a solid block of cardboard.

Cheers,
Eli

Beautiful cards all around...what worries me is that both Bourque and Shanny are in those sets...lousy, lousy Pacific...
