Here is an auto from Ulf Nilsson, a Swedish player who played in the 70's and 80's. He tore up the WHA with the Jets...and averaged a point a game with the Rangers in the NHL. However, serious injuries derailed his NHL career. His auto is legible and not that bad. At least you can tell it is him.

I give it a 7/10.

Here is a Stevie Y from the 01-02 SP Game Used. For me it is memorable as it takes up 1/2 the card and is still legible! He can make it small if he needs to but this was so great! 8/10

Tom Barrasso. A solid 9/10 autograph in my book. Why? It is legible, it is actually unique and identifiable as his, and there is an almost artistry to his loops and penmanship.

While you can read the "D & "T" and i guess the "O" or "W" depending on the day, it has absolutely ZERO visual appeal
One of the worst and ugliest in the hobby that is not just a spiraled pasta noodle

This is from the 01-02 SPx Signs of Excellence set. I love these and all the autos are pretty cool! Love the consistency of Bobby's sig through the years. I would give this an 8/10

You don't see a lot of Hasek signing in my opinion. I do like this early 00's auto from BAP 01-02 Signature Series which had a 250 set of autos as well as some 47 SP cards. This is where the fast auto likely originated lol as people signing all those cards in the set likely got tired. I would give this Hasek a 8/10 for the flair it has.

Kaden Fulcher...a solid 1.5/10, arguably one of the worst autographs I have ever seen in my entire life, yet somehow still not the worst.

Its microscopic size starts the disaster, then apart from the capital letter "F" and underlined "36" making the only logical sense on it, the rest of his signature is pure cat scratch. If I got to play a lone game in the NHL and got the chance to sign autographs for cards, I'd put some pride in it, not make it look like (from Left to Right) an incomplete question mark, a lightning bolt, a capital "F", and an underlined "36". I can understand a player who has played for 20 years being sick of signing his auto, but not this...

Always loved Ed Belfour’s auto. Very clean and recognizable.

This defenceman is an all-star and an up and comer. He does not have an all-star auto. Glad he was able to come back for the playoffs. As for his auto it doesn't seem like he put much effort into it. An H and 4 for his last name and number. 2/10 imo!

My first contribution. Antoine Bibeau. Clearly outlined “initials”. Decent, but very underwhelming. 2.7/10

For a youngster, Luca Pinelli has a really nice auto. Fully defined last name, clear number, nice penmanship, looks like time was actually taken. 9.8/10

Here is a multi-auto card that has a little of everything. Lanny definitely has a quality auto. Gilmour and Fleury seem to have a similar auto and Iginla's is kinda questionable. Makes for a great card!

Old-timers have the best autos...because they learned cursive and have pride in their autos. Glenn Hall is one of them. Great auto!
