Question about 02-03 Topps Patrick Roy reprints

Could a mod please move this to the hobby talk section?

I am attempting to complete the silver version 02-03 Topps Roy reprint set.I picked up a couple in trade and two more from a card show.My question is,how were these distributed? The people I acquired them from didn't know exactly where they got them.That brings me to my second question, anybody else have any they want to move?

The only inserts I've seen from the factory sets are the hometown heroes. Also I thought they were a Topps only insert.Have you actually pulled any of these from factory sets yourself? I purchased two each of the Topps and OPC factory sets and they only contained the hometown heroes.

A picture might help... but wasn't there a chromed version in Topps Chrome that year? Not sure if that's what you mean by 'silver'.

Topps Chrome was basically a parallel set of regular Topps, but put out in it's own packaging.

Are these the ones you are talking about?



The gold seal are the ones that were pack inserted and the silver seal are from the factory sets. I only have one of those but not scanned.

My Opc factory set came with a Roy with silver foil
