Question about a Bobby Orr fan letter

Just picked this up in a collection and I'm wondering about the "signature" on the letter:





I assumed it was a stamp, and the ink does fade a bit in the bottom of the Y.

However, I found another letter sent out on the same day and signature is clearly different:



It seems weird that there would be some signed and some stamped on the same day, but the typewriter is also different.

Any thoughts?

I would have guessed the 1st sig was an autopen:
1) the abrupt starts and ends
2) the darker spot of ink as the pen comes to the end of the last "r" before the pen is lifted straight up and bottom angle of "y" when pen is changing direction.
3) The consistent thickness of the lines
4) There is a possibility they are both autopens? It's not uncommon for celebrities to use multiple signature matrixes and autopen machines to answer all the fan mail quickly.

Wednesday Nov 18, 1970 was a Road Trip game in Minnesota. Perhaps he took some letters to sign during the trip ;-)

During the Boston heyday, I can imagine there was an entire secretary pool, personally interviewed by Derek Sanderson no less, devoted to answering fan mail for the Bruins.

Hard to believe they had 'Autopens' in 1970... looks like a stamp to me.
