Question about Beckett.com player search

How accurate is the player search on Beckett? I'm trying to compile a full list of Antoine Vermette cards. On the spreadsheet that I've made up in the last couple years I had 279 cards listed. On beckett search it lists 318 cards, but in looking at some of the listings ie: 2010-11 Certified they list Fabric of the Game cards which to my knowledge there are no Fabric of the Game cards(or any variations of) for Vermette in certified. I haven't seen any on ebay nor do they list any on the checklist available on Panini's site. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks

i had the same issue with Erik Johnson... Panini Certified stuff coming up with jersey parallels that don't exist... i think that Beckett initially listed the checklist that they were given by Panini, and then never got a revamped one, or just never changed it. and Beckett listed 2 Cup base parallels #/25 (gold and platinum, i do believe) also, and to my knowledge there is only 1 parallel #/25.

I've never seen a list that is 100% accurate - ever. I've always tried to utilize multiple sources and the compile my own list. Beckett, The Want List, old Charlton Yearbook Guides, and so on. Take the info that is out there and build your own list.

One of the biggest resources is other similar player collectors. Are there any other Vermette collectors that you have talked to? Compare notes. Wrok together.

I find my list of cards to be more of an organic thing as opposed to one precise list. I make alterations to it based on the info I obtain. I'm not afraid to make a mistake on my list, but I'm always making sure I am aware of what's out there.

It may take time, but it will be your most complete and thourough list in my opinion.

I have 13 Staal's (at least) not listed on the site....and yeah, those "phantom" Certified parallels are bummer!

I have cards that aren't listed there, as well, I also believe they have cards listed that do not exist. However, I doubt there is a better "complete" checklist than what is available there. For the most part they are accurate, but minor tweaking is still necessary.
