Question about card shows

I have decided to get a table at the Langley show in November and have 11 super shoe boxes filled with hard sleeves and have to sort them so it is easy for collectors. I was wondering what the best way to display the card for people to see them. I have been considering a combination of Options C & D.

A.) Sorted by player name.
B.) Sorted by set year.
C.) Sorted by Jersey, Auto, Rc, Or Inserts.
D.) Sorted by Team.

Let me know what is the easiest.

Each option caters to a different type of collector so it really depends on how many of each type of collectors go to the particular show. I struggle with this before every show and usually go with option C.

I would say "anything but D".

Myself, I prefer B.... but that only works if you know exactly what you're looking for.

For me I buy most likely from someone who has D, but I would say C followed by D i.e. have "types" first and inside there teams. That way you have like 120 "stacks" which of I'd be interested in 4.

most people at the card show in Halifax don't seem to flip through stacks or boxes but simply browse showcases. I dig & I don't care what order they're in. Sorted by price is my favorite. Card type I suppose would be my 2nd choice

I love digging through a box where all cards are the same price especially when there's a discount like $10 each 3 for $25 type box's .

I've honestly found that the less work I put into organizing the better I do at the shows I attend. For every person that shows up with a precise wantlist I seem to have 10 gold miners that would rather dig for treasure lol. Also as mentioned pre-priced boxes eg. 3/$10 etc seem to do the best for me.

I guess it depends how big your collection is; if it's that large, sorting by year will make it easier to sort through for anyone that has any base card wants. But for any mid-high range cards, I prefer sort by price (or a display area). Good luck with the show! I hope to meet you there.

This is actually a pretty big draw at the Vancouver area shows. If you have some stuff where you could do these types of boxes, you'll get some action at your table.

People also like stuff sorted by player, since we tend to have more player collectors around here than set collectors.

Besides that, if you're sorting base cards into things too, sets/set year helps the base collectors a lot.
