I am basically wondering if distributors ship to arrive at the customer on release date or if they get it themselves on the release date then ship shortly after. I ordered my 10-box BTP case from Quecan and with the release date being next Thursday I'm wondering if I can expect my case next week or the week after. Tried asking them but I can't get a straight answer

I have ordered from Quecan before. You can expect your case to arrive Monday or Tuesday of the following week. Most distributors receive their stuff a day or 2 prior to release and ship to B&M stores for day of. Quecan is not a large distributor so I think they get their stuff a little later

I don't know how it works in Canada, but what I've gotten from my distributor here in the US...

They 'typically' receive shipment in time to ship for delivery on the release date. I was told that barring any delays with receipt of their shipment from the manufacturer, my order of BTP will be here on Thursday the 25th.

I really hope so because my wife gets really upset when I want to sit and bust wax on Friday night. hehehe ("but it takes time to open a case or three, dear..." :))

-FB...

Was wondering the same thing. I ordered my 20 box case from Blowout Cards. I'm hoping it gets in on the 26th or 27th. Just in case, I took a vacation day from work on the 29th, lol.

Really hoping it will show up next week, don't want to have that agonizing wait through the weekend and into my work days. A vacation day might be in the cards for me as well.

wow you guys are hardcore...taking a vacation day to wait for cards to show up

I can understand the anticipation though. THe wait can be agonizing

The distributors get the product a few days a head of time so they can ship to their customers for arrival on realese day.

Quecan is not a "distributor" - they get their product on release day and will ship it out then.

Quecan are scumbags.

They are sub-distributors who don't care one bit about the hobby or it's long term survival.

They will sell to anyone at anytime.

And for any hobby stores who are reading this, keep in mind they are part of the Prince Wholesalers family.

Hasn't Prince had their hands slapped by more than one card company for shady dealings? I thought I heard that UD and Topps had cut them off completely? If so, how are they managing to use Quecan?

True. If I want a UD product from Prince, they don't get it until release day or day after and then ship it out so we don't get it for 1 to 2 days after release if buying from them.

That to me tells me they are getting it through Buffalo or Pittsburgh. They have a relationship with Pittsburgh.

Therefore, we have to buy our UD or Topps products from Grosnor or Universal if we want them on release day.
