Question about ITG cards

I had thought of this the other day and I do not recall ever reading about it. So with ITG not able to make "NHL" cards what do they do with the NHL logo shields. Are they not allowed to use them? Are the saving them all up for when the get their licence back? As a not yes I am aware that they use a lot of vintage jerseys that do not have the NHL logo on them.

When ITG had their license, they created several shield cards for ITG Ultimate Memorabilia.

I can only assume that ITG is holding their remaining shields to use when (if) they ever get their NHL license back. It would be a complete waste for ITG to have discarded any materials from official game used jerseys in their inventory.

that was the exact thing that i was thinking. i know that dr. price has posted before and i am really hoping that he looks at this thread and confirms it. i was just thinking that ultimate looks to be one of the best products ever and it does not even have NHL shields in it. than i got to wondering if they even can use their shields.

I can't see why ITG would not take advantage of a concept as popular as NHL shield cards if they were legally allowed to. I know they have cut up NHL shields for use in Made to Order cards and whatnot since they lost the license, but I'm sure if they were allowed to make full shield cards they would be.

One thing is for sure, we don't throw out anything.

We have them all and who knows what we will do with them.

I could have swore I have seen some of the MTO cards with parts of the shield

I am sure it will be something amazing in the future with the left over shields.

Some of the Triple Logo cards from last year's Ultimate used parts of shields as well.

I don't know if this applies for everyone in this set. The 07-08 ITG Ultimate Memorabilia Triple Logos of Turco had pieces of the NHL shield. Shinchirs copies...

I have seen all four copies of the silver and the 1/1 from this set now, and 2 silvers and the gold have pieces of the shield I believe. My copy does not have a piece from the shield.
