in the box of victory the i bought i pulled a card that is black on the sides instead of silver like all the others or the gold version that you can get, it is a rookie andy greene if anyone knows what it is let me know please, i had 2 boxes and only had the one

It could be the black parallel which is /5. I was under the impression these were numbered, but maybe not..
Here are the odds:
Regular Cards Black Parallel – inserted 1:720

does it say "victory black" on the side. I have 2 victory golds from this year, and both say victory gold. They aren't numbered, so after second thought, I would say the black would not be either...

As stated before, good pull! It sounds to me like you have one..

If its a rookie it may be different, but here is a scan of a victory black from this year, you can see the words on the left hand side running vertical..

I don't believe the rookies have the writing down the side. I have a Ryan Parent black. Also, as for the odds, weren't the odds on a black rookie higher than that? Also, the blacks aren't serial numbered and I hadn't see any print run numbers (/5??) so I'd be interested to know if that number's accurate.

From what I've heard there is like 7-10 of each card that is black this year. Those black cards are -very- rare though, especially a rookie one. Finding a Andy Greene collector could be a profitable thing for you :P.

There is a Victory Black of Aaron Rome on E-bay right now, your card should look just like that. I would post the link, but I'm too new :(

There's also a Ryan Parent up there, and he's a VERY promising young defenseman (he was the key in the Forsberg trade last year). I bought mine early and cheap, not sure what it will go for now.

The black cards are not that rare -- not since 05-06. Everyone seems to have "heard" a different number on them, which is sort of obnoxious -- of course it'd be best if UD released a print run, but they don't ever make any sense.

There's probably 15-25 of each black. They are very hard to find since they are in a product that no one opens. Even still, the market on blacks from 06-07 and 07-08 is very soft, so for as great of a pull as it was, I would think $20-$30 cash would be your best cash value for it.

Hope that helps!

I agree 100%. The Victory Blacks used to get a good chunk of change when they were numbered. For the past 2 seasons, they have dropped significantly. They are still a pain to find if you are a player collector but not that expensive to buy once you've found one
