Question for set builders

Some of you may or may not know that I am a big fan of the Panini (Playoff) Contenders set. In particular the 2010-11 year. I completed the Classic Ticket auto subset (7 possible sets), all of the insert sets, and am only one card shy of completing the Playoff Ticket parallel set.

So here is where my question lies, what should I do about the base set? I have every card in hand except for the Cam Fowler, which is a redemption, that I redeemed over 4 years ago. Is it safe to assume that this card will not be made? I had heard that he lost the cards for this particular set and that Panini was resending the cards to him to sign (not sure how true that is). Would you guys consider the set complete now without the Fowler? Should I just ask for a replacement and then in the off chance the cards ever become live just pick up another one then.

I just want to be able to say that this set is done! If I knew a way to get a card to him and have a 100% chance at being signed I would pick up another one of the Playoff Tickets and have him sign that.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

I'd call it complete myself. But that's just me.

I have a similar situation where an athlete never signed his cards (2000-01 Topps Heritage - Tony Amonte autographs). Much like you I am a completionist and that missing auto is annoying. If you still have the redemption card, I would include that in your set and consider it complete. I'm actually looking for a copy of the Amonte redemption card just to appease my OCD.

A TTM board I am on had success on him sending to his parents house, that was back in 2012, not sure if they still live there.

You can try sending to the Ducks or their practice facility.

I would call it complete and keep the redemption card but get another redemption.
Maybe it will come live but highly doubt it

I also collect the 10-11 Playoff Contenders Set, and for me it is completed without the Fowler.
If it really comes available one time, I'm going to pick up a copy, but until that it is completed for me

I also think that having the redemption card makes it complete until proven otherwise.

yep. called 4 times and they always said that the card will be produce. But not even close to see it. for now, it's a complete set without the Fowler since no one has one in hand.
