I have only ever done the box redemption but am thinking about doing a case in the spring and have a couple questions:

1. is it the same format as with boxes....do i have to open all 288 packs right there and then ?

2. do i have to buy the case at the expo or can i bring an unopened pre purchased case with me.

3. any recommendations on the best (cheapest) place to get a case :)

6 of us are doing a case break just want to see what all our options are

I believe that it has to be purchased at the show from one of the Diamond Dealers with the voucher. If you plan to do this, go early as sometimes the dealers who are set up take almost all of the spots available for the case breaking program. All of the product has to be opened there.

G-force is completely right, as far as cheapest place to buy the case... Theres a good selection of dealers at the expo, and the dealers will have different prices on older product, but as far as new product goes it will all be around the same price. Hope you enjoy!!!

You will also have to wait until closer to the Expo itself to find out which products will be eligible for the Upper Deck Redemptions. About two weeks before the show Upper Deck will reveal their intentions, and often it is the products that nobody is buying so they can help their Canadian Distributors clear out the old stock. Ask your LCS what isn't selling if you want to start planning your case purchase.

Have to buy it there..... same as the boxes (you get a voucher from a "diamond dealer).

It was a brilliant move by Upper Deck a few years ago. By forcing you to buy from a certified dealer at the expo, they can ensure that nobody will mess with the prices.

For example: You used to be able to get a box of UD Series 1/2 for $65 if you looked around. Someone would be selling it cheaper, just to move it out. Now? Can't do it. They're all $75.... because if they won't sell for the set price, they won't get the vouchers.

thats odd as in the fall everyone was $75 for series one except one table in the first row who was $70 so i bought my 5 boxes off him

anyways I should have stated that we are looking to do a case of series 2 the redemption are just bonuses since we are planning on doing a case anyway....original plan was to do it in my garage since we are all from the same town but just want to make sure we explore all options.....so if we get our case at the expo can we go to the redemption table and just crack the seals on the 12 boxes so we can open the actual packs back at the hotel

Series 2 likely won't be on the case breaker list. Series 1 wasn't at the Fall Expo. Just an FYI
