Radulov coming back???

as a preds fan i sure hope so. we've been hearing how he is coming back for years as he kills it in the KHL. meanwhile nashville is stuck with an offense that always gets cracked for not having a big time playmaker. go figure.

Talk about line shake ups. How will Trotz handle 2 Kostitsyn's, Erat and Hornqvist within this shuffle? And to boot now Rads can put a hurt on Arnott without grumpy jumping his case. Makes me wish I kept my Rads collection.

If I'm Nashville I trade his rights as soon as the season is over. Let him be someone else's headache. There is NO way I'd give the guy a big $ contract. RFA or not he'd see his way out the door.

Nashville is playing well and now he wants back in just in time for the playoffs... As soon as Nashville is out he is gone back to Russia to take it easy until the next time he gets a chance to skip the NHL season and come back for a playoff run. I HATE when players do this, especially after abandoning the team in the past.

Nashville can use the offensive talent, it's just a shame he couldn't commit to sticking with the team for the long term.

Agreed. Radulov should have to play a full regular season before he is allowed to play in the playoffs. The guy hasnt't payed his dues in the NHL. It's frustrating to see this happen.

If he comes back, this would be huge for Nashville. It would be like Toronto winning the Rick Nash sweepstakes and all it cost them was a bag of pucks. I don't care if he left before his contract was up....he didn't cost Nashville anything by leaving, and he went back home where he was comfortable and where he felt he was wanted. It's not like he bolted and continued to collect his paycheck.

His season was up in the KHL, I have no problem with him coming back to play here. As far as I am concerned, it's no different than a junior aged player joining an AHL team after his junior season is done.....nobody complained when Carey Price did that, now did they?

The difference is Radulov was under contract with the Predators and went AWOL to play in Russia. Now he wants back in the year Nashville happens to be a strong team. If Carey finished his obligation to his junior team and had the chance to play in the AHL good for him, that's a more acceptable career progression than bailing on your team and coming back a couple years later for a playoff run.

it's a difficult thing for me as a Preds fan. sure i was plenty mad when he bolted. i was mad at him AND the league for letting it happen (KHL and NHL came to an agreement that the KHL wouldn't poach NHLers under contract just hours after Radulov signed a deal in Russia? really??). but the Preds landscape was SO much different then. the team was being sold and it's future was in a bit of limbo. not to mention he was a very young guy and nearly the entire Preds roster was North American with NO Russians and only a few Euros on the team. Then the KHL opened for business and offered him millions upon millions to come home and play and the rest is history. Nashville could have traded his rights away but never did. both parties said the right things through out and never really burned any bridges. Preds are about to be the scariest team in the league. already hearing grumbling from Canuck nation. lol.
