As with a lot of people, the recent increase of pricing in the hobby have forced me to take a back seat to collecting. I also went through a phase where I was in a bad place and decided to sell most of my collection. My wife and I had tried for about 8 years to have kids. We tried natural  , IVF, IUI, NHL, FBI, ETC.... When none of these worked, naturally I was really down, and decided to sell everything because I wouldn't have anyone to share my passion with. Right before COVID we decided to apply and take courses to be licensed Foster Parents. It was a tough road, but worked out well. We were placed with a 5-month old baby boy in August. He had a rough start to his life, I will spare the details, but he was absolutely the center of our world. I say was, because he now has to share that with his baby sister. We decided the week after we got him to use 1 of our 3 remaining eggs. 1 of the bad eggs as they referred to it... Boy were they ever wrong... I now have a 15 month old Son and a 3 Month Old Daughter... She was born March 18th, 4 days before his 1st Birthday, and 1 week after my 39th. She graced up 6 weeks early, and made us visit the NICU for 13 days, but she is doing GREAT! Time will tell if we are able to remain a family of 4, he still has hoops to go through, but right now life is all good.

I even started picking up some items from WHATNOT after getting addicted watching Jeremy's first auction...

Random, but cheap, kind of felt bad for a new seller.

These were from a baseball guy. Won them multitasking at work. They came with a bunch of Pinnacle Mint Coins, misc. inserts and rookies. I don't even think some of the stuff I received was in the lots of won.

This final card popped up for $26 while I was in parking lot of MOE's, babies in back smiling.

Thanks for the read if you made it this far. I really hope the market slows down. I would like to be able to build up a PC again, but I am thrilled to be buying Diapers, Formula, and unappreciated toys after a long wait!!!

Very hardy congratulations to you and your wife! Hope all the best for the newborn.

Love the additions to the card collection as well.

Love your story! My wife and I had similar trouble and similiar attempts. We have now adopted 3 girls and life is grande! Congrats on your family!!! Love it!!!

Wow, the 90s stuff is shiny! The Chelios rookie is a sharp card.

Life changes a lot with a little baby, but it's still possible too enjoy the hobby. They grow fast!
