Rangers Fire Sale?

Get ready guys. If my beloved Rangers fall any farther back in the playoff race my "buddy" Sather will most likely have another fire sale much like 03-04. Look for Nylander, Aaron Ward, Cullen, Hall and even perhaps Shanny and Straka to be shopped around. As a matter of fact, I doubt anyone on the roster is safe, except Lundqvist. And if anybody wants Ozolinsh or Kasparaitis, I'll throw in all of their cards to sweeten' the deal. Mike

I heard that Cullen was down to the Leafs/Rangers in the offseason and decided to sign with the Rags because they offered either more money or longer term (dont remember which). I doubt the Leafs would have any interest now.

I think Shanny would be a real hot commodity. Having said that he basically said in the offseason he will only play for the Rangers or Red Wings. Theres a chance he could be moved but location would rest solely on his shoulders. Don't think he has a real interest in moving especially considering he's won his cups already. I think the Rangers are looking to re-sign him.

A lot of teams would be inetrested in Ward. A veteran playoff tested stay at home d-man would garner a lot of interest.

I think its too early to talk fire sale though Mike. Need another 4-5 games to decide.

Any chance that Forsberg ends up there? He's being shopped around like crazy! Personally I would not want him, too many injuries.
