Really? A Sticker? Really???

I had to wait 1 1/2 years for this redemption and it turned out to be a sticker. I mean, Really? a year and a half for a sticker? I had to wait for the fed ex man, take off 2 hours from work to sign for the package and its a sticker? Love the card, but for the wait, it should have been hard signed.
I happy to finally get the card and disappointed all in the same time.

It looks great but I understand your letdown.

I guess that is my biggest problem with Panini now that I have had a few years to assess their products: inconsistency.

They either make things that are awesome, lights out products (Prime) or totally fumble it (Certified).

The design is great, I like it a lot.

I'm getting the same card Friday according to FEDEX but mine was redeemed in Nov 2011

Again great design but the stick really takes away from what is a really nice card

I think they waited for awhile to have the card hard signed, but it possibly got the point where they had waited so long and gotten no closer to receiving them that they put a sticker on there just to send you something.

I don't get it - how hard is it to put aside half a day or less to sign some cards. Yes, they are busy, but they're signing cards.

Stickers suck and will always suck. Too bad for the collectors and the card companies - I ignore every box loaded with stickers.

All of the cards in this set are stickers. Should be no surprise to anyone that this one is a sticker too. Sorry you had to wait two years for it, but you got what you should have been expecting.

yeah the design also doesnt make the sticker blend in very well so it looks very cheap also.

every company uses stickers for their lower end sets , im not a big fan of them but if we want ot keep having some lower price products i think we dont have a choice to live with them.

Name me one early season product that comes out consistently with hard-signed cards? If you want hard-signed there will be a big trade off - in price. That ten pack box for about $100 just went to 6 packs. Can't really do too much about some athletes - particularly the high-profile ones who basically have their handlers deal with everything - but wait - even for stickers...

You don't tell Crosby when to sign and return his items! Panini needs Crosby more than Crosby needs Panini, he signs when he wants to! Too much nitpicking in this hobby!

And the inconsistency runs through all three of the card companies. Fleer Retro was horrible. Between the Pipes was bland. Certified was a dud. It happens across the board. If a product isn't for you, don't buy it! No one is forcing you to go out day one and buy the new product. Sit back and watch breaks online to determine if it's something you'd like to break! If breaking isn't for you then just buy or trade for items you want, and then you're guaranteed that you won't be disappointed!

Add me into this crowd as well. The card is still pretty slick, and Crosby will always be in high demand, so while I understand your frustration, you got the card you redeemed for, if just a little later than you were hoping to.

I have no issue with the sticker. I would be glad to have that card. Mind you I would never take time off work to get the package lol.. I made it a rule that once the hobby owns me, I am out. I keep it a hobby for enjoyment and refuse to let that affect my day to day life..
