I hope that it was just the break I saw from breakaway but most of those cards were damaged... at 3000 plus a pack you guys cant put them in toploaders to protect them............ start thinking about protecting the card if youre gonna charge a years worth of car payments

Pretty sure that is how they have packaged every master collection they have put out so not overly surprising. At least all of the ones I have watched breaks of Jordan, Woods, etc)

I have a feeling it will be like some were saying before release, wait awhile and these will be heavily discounted. Even if the cards were in better shape/protected, $3000.00 it too much for what you get, IMO.
 
Watching the vid now. Not very impressed with the condition or the contents. Some nice looking designs and all but mostly low value autos aside from the Gretzky-Lemieux and the Orr. Not even remotely close to being worth $3k.
 
In some of the other breaks posted on YouTube the cards came out in alright shape.
 
This stuff is WAY overpriced and overproduced. My thought is it will either come down in price or a crapload of it will sit in UD's warehouses for quite some time.
 
I can see that price tag if they would have only made 100 boxes. Very limited product so it would have a super strong secondary market following. Plus a lot of people would be keeping everything that they pulled as PC. But at 500 boxes made their will just be too much stuff out there and not enough people with that deep of pockets to buy the boxes.
 
Personally, I think this one is an epic fail for UD. The content is nowhere close to justifying the shelf price of this product. A set like this should not have the large number of fringe NHL players that it does. The QC is embarrassing. I feel sorry for anybody who bought into this.
 
Just watched the breaks and I'm in the way overpriced group. I know busting is for the love of busting unfortunely this product is playing the Vegas odds where the house wins and even that depends on who wants to pony up for a box.

Onto a positive outlook for the coming UD releases
 
Curious to see how the cards from the set sell on the secondary market. A lot of very nice looking cards, just not sure the demand is there.

Depends on what you define as demand. All the cards will sell, just not for what the product is priced at.

I'd love to see someone open one up, and throw every single card up in a seperate auction starting on $0.99, and see where it all ends up
 
Nice cards but not worth the price tag . Needed a little more help in the auto side . I can't see anyone making back half the cost of this product . I think a full base set or jersey set of auto's or maybe a special signed photo of different yrs teams? This just seemed like a quickly put together money grab.
 
i gambled on a group break spot last night on c&c was Lucky to get 3rd pick out of 50 so i ended up with a nice card but i didnt tried my luck in the second break below pick 8-9 its not really woth it.
 
I was really excited about this set and wanted to try a group break, but after I saw the checklist I really didn't want to be the guy who paid $200 for a Dany Heatley card. After watching a few breaks, I am a little surprised at how quickly the value drops off after you take away the best 2-4 cards. It seems to lean heavily on semi-stars to fill out the box.
