Really UD? Wow

Yeah, ok, fairly egregious. One out of how many thousands of cards? What's YOUR error rate at work like?

Really, we need to stop getting QUITE this excited over errors. They happen.

Several people would have to have made errors in order for a card like this to make it to pack-out so yeah, I think it's ridiculous.

Exactly. Are these companies only using 1 person to do QA/QC? Anyone with first hand knowledge know what their QA/QC policies are? How did Panini let the Blackhawks Team Engravatures get packed out when it was spelled incorrectly? As said in many other threads EVERY company has quality, redemption, product issues but it really bothers me when 1 company seems to get a free pass or pushed aside when a mistake is brought to the forefront.

I agree with the error comment - however, whenever I or someone I work with makes a mistake there are checks and it is caught, and then fixed immediately. I find it hard to believe that UD doesn't have these types of checks/recons in place to ensure that things like this don't happen.

Well you have to consider that this is a product that costs, what, northeast of $100 per card and this particular card is definitely not the worst one of those. When you are charging $100 per piece and you are promoting your product as the best ever (someone can quote UD on what they actually use) that's completely different than if you would have the error in a low end card.

edit. No, this wasn't The Cup. Still it is a high-end product. So not $100 per card, but $20. That's quite a bit better.

I'm not here to defend anybody and I don't have much to say here outside of the fact that I don't know a single company that has a 100% quality assurance sample size. These things will happen.
