Really UD?

It's not like Rocket autos are that rare. There are tons of signed checks out there anyone can buy for $50-$100 they could have used instead of that crap. Stuff like this makes it so hard to cheer for this company in hopes they solve all their troubles, and continue on making cards. Every time they take a positive step forward, they seem to think a step back is the next play.

Dang, that card is ugly, at least the Richard side, not even a pic of Rocket???

Well......they soiled the cardboard bed with that one didnt they. Upper Deck should be ashamed. That card is an insult to the Rocket's memory.

Is that autograph even legit? An earlier version? I've never seen a Richard autograph that bad, even in his last months of life...

Looking at the way they have the cut set up is very disappointing. Not only does the cut side look very poorly manufactured but they didn't even make the window big enough to display his full auto. The only reason something like that could be acceptable would be if it came off a larger sheet where the top of his auto was running into another players auto an d that players auto was tougher to find. That said UD should be ashamed to put that card out into the market and if I was the owner I would have complained to no end!! That card needs to be remade.

I agree. I'd almost have to question the authenticity of that autograph. That looks NOTHING like a Richard auto, who has one of the most consistently legible signatures in the history of the sport. Even in his later days, the worst that happened was that the lines became shaky, but they were still consistenly neat and legible.

Even Rocket's autos near the end of his life were still a lot nicer than that. I have NEVER seen a Richard auto that bad

There are maybe 1 or 2 other people in the sport that would take precedent over Maurice Richard. I doubt anyone would be stupid enough to cut out Maurice Richard's auto in favour of someone else in the case of an overlap. Then again, nothing with UD surprises me anymore

even if there was a Plante (or other deceased/rare) sig next to his why wouldn't they take one of the plentiful nice authentic autos and use the other as a really nice dual?

I think its bogus as well

ok, so as someone who is extremely interested in owning a card like this for my sakic pc, would you consider contacting UD if you were the owner of this card??

I don't question the authenticity of the auto, it just looks strange having the top cut off. Put another Richard auto next to it and you can see that it looks pretty good except that the top is cut short making it look funny.

ooofff, that is definitely ugly...But sadly I've seen worse.

Can't remember the exact card but another cut auto (I believe from Cup?) that I literally thought was a joke it was that bad

Need Vintage player collectors opinion...

I'm interested in buying this item but I'm confused on 1 of the Autographs,I am a Maurice Richard collector and have a few of his autographs and this one just doesn't seem right ? is it just my imagination ?
