I've added a bit to my Seattle Seahawks collection over the last little while. Most of the additions are of Shaun Alexander.

We'll start off with a card that isn't pc, but I couldn't turn down a 1/1 Nameplate piece of a HOF'er for under $15.

Kellen Winslow

A Dual Auto of Marshawn Lynch and Justin Forsett. Was disappointed to see Justin move on and sign with Houston, but such is the way of the NFL.

015-3.jpg

And to finish it up some Alexander Ink.

021-2.jpg

019-2.jpg

017-2.jpg

016-3.jpg

And lastly what is, in my opinion, the quintessential RC from that time his Playoff Contenders Autograph RC.

Comments are always welcomed. Thanks for taking a gander.

More Seahawks additions; most from the past two weeks. I am feeling somewhat reinvigorated in the hobby as I have been adding a lot to the Seattle collection.

We'll start off with two SP Authentic Autos, one of one my favorite Seahawks Lofa Tatupu, and one of Leon Washington. The Washington auto is of him in a Jets jersey, now I wouldn't normally go for an auto like that, but they were from the same seller, the price was right and it's just a really nice looking on-card signature.

001-12.jpg

002-8.jpg

A couple of autos of Pro-Bowl Safety Earl Thomas

013-7.jpg

016-7.jpg

A nice looking auto of today's overtime touchdown hero Sidney Rice; I don't know if he'll stick with the team much beyond this season; however, he has been relatively healthy this year and he has really started to produce, and I hope he stays.

023-4.jpg

Next up a couple of rookie year autos of second year starting OLB K.J. Wright, I was hella impressed with him last season, and he has continued his strong play this season.

I am a big fan of the Totally Certified shininess; 280/299

021-5.jpg

I think I may have to start looking at adding more National Treasures RC/autos. This one is very nice 51/99

022-5.jpg

A simple, sharp auto of last seasons breakout team leading receiver Doug Baldwin. He's battled a lot of injuries this season, but had a huge third down reception in OT today. I think he has the potential to be a pretty solid slot receiver. This card is 09/49.

018-5.jpg

I have always been a fan of Elite in football, love the designs, and the die-cut parallels. This is an auto of this seasons breakout receiver Golden Tate. Dude is tough as nails, and seems to have developed quite a rapport with Russell Wilson. 234/299

019-5.jpg

Next up the only non-auto of this bunch. This is a jersey card of the best offensive lineman in Seahawks history; and one of the best linemen in NFL history, a first ballot Hall of Famer as soon as he's eligible. Walter Jones.

014-7.jpg

Much like with Elite, I have always loved Playoff Contenders Football. I think that Panini absolutely screwed the pooch with the hockey version. That being said; football is still going strong.

Marcus Trufant: 481/739

015-7.jpg

Brandon Mebane

015-6.jpg

Golden Tate

020-5.jpg

Doug Baldwin

017-5.jpg

and K.J. Wright

008-8.jpg

And we'll end off this show with some Skittles...

014-6.jpg

007-8.jpg

Thanks for the look, comments are always appreciated. And there is lots more incoming so I will be updating this again very soon.

VERY nice additions ! I'm glad the companies don't start including Browner into more products. Don't need to deplete my funds even more, lol.

Great acquisitions !

Thanks. I was going to save this as I, spoiler alert, have another of the parallels coming in. But you mentioned Brandon Browner. I pulled this one from the one box of Elite I opened when the product first came out. I want to see some autos of he and Richard Sherman.

Elite Status 24/24

Not a lot has come in over the past two weeks. I am waiting on some very big cards still. However, will show off the most recent additions.

First off a nice piece from 2007 Limited of former Hawks starting QB Matt Hasselbeck; he was one of my favorite players while in Seattle, and even though he's in Tennessee now I was still finding myself pulling for him as he was starting earlier in the season. He's a very good player, but an even better person. Really happy to add this Prime Jersey piece 10/10.

014-8.jpg

Next up another Earl Thomas Auto RC, this one from Epix. It is numbered 303/499. It doesn't really show up through the scan but there is a really cool holofoil type of effect on the card. Looks great in person.

015-8.jpg

Another Golden Tate auto addition, this one is quite golden in its design and is numbered 14/15.

013-9.jpg

In the penultimate position this week a pair of Auto RC parallels of up and coming offensive lineman Russell Okung. He has battled injuries for his career up to this season. He has stayed healthy this season, and has begun to develop into a very good left tackle.

First a Classics 13/25.

012-10.jpg

Then a card I am really happy to have added. National Treasures parallel 06/25. I got this one for under $5, the price made this addition even better.

011-8.jpg

And in what will likely be the norm we'll end with some Skittles.

22/25

010-9.jpg

Thanks for the look.

Cheers.

Another week, another dominating victory for the Seahawks. Time for one last post of additions before Christmas.

All of these cards, with the exception of the last card in the post were picked up off of COMC during their Black Friday sale. Most of the pickups are of the non-game used/autograph variety. I guess my collection is going to be dabbling in serial numbered cards now too. I think I am going to begin to add base cards too. It has been fun to just pickup what I want and see how the collection develops and takes shape from there.

Going to start the post with my favorite card of the entire lot. My first autograph of Walter Jones, I love this set design/concept. It is too cool in my opinion.

004-15.jpg

I remember opening one pack of 2003 SP Signature Edition back in the day. I pulled a Shaun Alexander auto out of that pack. I always liked the set design. Decided to pick up this nice auto of Marcus Trufant.

018-6.jpg

Next up one last auto before the parade of parallels. This is a Shaun Alexander auto from 2004 Fleer Showcase. The auto set is entitled Sweet Sigs, and it is just that, I really like the football embossed design on the bottom portion of the card. This one is serial numbered 015/100.

019-6.jpg

Now in one of the posts above I talked about my affinity for Donruss Elite parallels. Well I added five new Aspirations to the collection.

2001 Donruss Elite Aspirations Ricky Watters 24/68.
014-9.jpg

2005 Donruss Elite Aspirations Shaun Alexander 61/73.
015-9.jpg

2005 Donruss Elite Aspirations Brandon Browner Rookie Year 24/61.
016-8.jpg

2010 Donruss Elite Aspirations Golden Tate Rookie Year 18/23.
017-6.jpg

Last but certainly not least a fistful of Skittles.

Firstly a trio of parallels from 2011 Prestige.

073/100
020-6.jpg

50/50
021-6.jpg

08/10
022-6.jpg

Next up a pair from 2010 Gridiron Gear

042/100
023-5.jpg

04/25
024-5.jpg

2010 Playoff Contenders Playoff Ticket 87/99.
030-5.jpg

2010 Limited 20/50.
028-4.jpg

2011 Absolute 30/50.
026-6.jpg

2011 Limited 33/50.
029-5.jpg

2011 Rookies & Stars 41/49.
027-5.jpg

2011 Totally Certified 35/50.
025-5.jpg

The fifth of my Donruss Elite Aspirations additions. 2012 Elite 25/76.
031-4.jpg

2011 National Treasures 03/10.
032-3.jpg

And finally the one ebay pickup in this entire batch. Just have to say I love this card. 2012 Prime Signatures Auto 2/5.

002-13.jpg

I still have quite a few outstanding ebay purchases. It would be awesome if they were to arrive later this week, but I am expecting to have to wait into the new year for them.

As always; thanks for peeping the thread.

Another Sunday, another victory for the Seahawks, and one last Show & Tell for this calendar year. Not a lot in this post (6 cards), but some quality additions.

First up a card that is just Golden, I mean the card itself will tell you 31/36.

004-16.jpg

Next up my very first additions of the Hawks shocking rookie sensation Russell Wilson. I would rank him second in the offensive ROY race (behind RG3, ahead of Luck). I certainly did not expect him to put together the season he has after Pete Carroll named him the starter after the third preseason game.

First addition Triple Threads 6pcs Jersey 02/36.
005-17.jpg

Next up one of the variations to the RC, honestly couldn't tell you whether this is the "true" RC or a parallel version. To be honest I don't care. I picked up this card three weeks ago and it arrived on Christmas eve. I'm glad I picked this up when I did as I saw a copy sell tonight for more than three times what I paid for my copy. To say his stuff is blowing up is a severe understatement.

First auto pickup 23/99.
006-15.jpg

Last Russell Wilson pickup. I just love this card, always have had an affinity for clear acetate autos. This one is mighty fine.

Donruss Elite Rookie Inscriptions Red Ink Parallel.
005-18.jpg

And as per usual gotta end it with some Skittles.

2011 Topps Precision Auto 37/99.
002-14.jpg

And lastly

2012 Certified Blue Parallel Autograph 23/49.
003-17.jpg

So there have been a lot of additions over the past month. I am going to break up this post into three different posts separated by defense, offense, and lastly Skittles.

Kicking off the d-post are a couple of Lofa Tatupu cards.

2006 SPx Superscripts Auto
012-13.jpg

And a 2006 SP Authentic Rookie Authentics Parallel 13/25
013-13.jpg

Now some current LB's

K.J. Wright Panini Playbooks Auto 39/299
027-7.jpg

Personally I thought Bobby Wagner deserved the Defensive Rookie of the Year over Luke Kuechly, but I admit my opinion may be biased.
I have managed to add a pair of RC Autos, Crown Royale 62/245, and Panini Black 14/199.

028-6.jpg

029-7.jpg

Next up are a pair of Bruce Irvin Autos. Absolute Memorabilia 14/299, and Panini Black 13/25.

025-7.jpg

026-8.jpg

Moving on to the secondary.

I love the patch on this Marcus Trufant SP Authentic Patch RC 739/850.
018-9.jpg

Finally a bunch of Earl Thomas additions, I love the way he covers center field for the Hawks, already two Pro Bowls under his belt, undoubtedly there will be more to come.

2010 Playoff Contenders RC Auto (added to the other Seahawks in this side PC to the main PC).
019-9.jpg

2010 Topps Finest, Finest Moments Auto.
024-7.jpg

2010 Topps Platinum Auto. I must say that this card looks awesome in person. It really pops.
023-7.jpg

Lastly some 2010 Donruss Elite pickups, non-auto 84/999, auto 385/399, and Status parallel 56/88.

020-9.jpg

022-9.jpg

021-9.jpg

More to come...

Will kick off the offense post with some receivers/tight ends.

This first card is a very cool one. Courtney Taylor did not last long with Seattle, he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis following the 2008 season. After a couple years out of football he made his return, this time playing in the CFL for the B.C. Lions. His drive and determination are truly inspiring.

2009 SPx X-Factor Signatures parallel 2/5.
030-6.jpg

Next up a couple of Anthony McCoy Autos, Limited Phenoms 156/199, and Donruss Elite Aspirations Auto Parallel 20/49.

032-4.jpg

033-4.jpg

A nice looking Sidney Rice Prime Signatures Auto 34/49.
035-3.jpg

A pair of Joey Galloway additions, first a 1998 Collector's Edge Authentic NFL Game Ball.
034-4.jpg

And an SP Authentic Buyback Auto 73/273.
031-5.jpg

Next up are a couple of Mack Strong cards, always loved his play. Hard nosed, clearing the way for Seahawks running backs.

2001 Pacific Impressions Triple Jersey (along with Reggie Brown, and Charlie Rogers)
014-12.jpg

And a Topps Exclusive Super Bowl Ticket auto, love this card a lot. Just the like the Walter Jones I picked up a while ago.
015-12.jpg

Moving on to Matt Hasselbeck, first a 2008 Topps Letterman Team Logo Patch card 12/25.
016-11.jpg

This next card shifts nicely between Hasselbeck and the next player in the show, Shaun Alexander.

2004 Fleer Authentix Tailgate Trios Puget Sound Edition 8/25 (Hasselbeck/Jackson/Alexander).
011-12.jpg

Upper Deck MVP Prosign Auto, picturing Shaun in his Crimson Tide colors.
003-19.jpg

2007 Playoff Playoffs Gold Holofoil 12/25.
040-3.jpg

2000 Donruss Elite Turn of the Century Gold Die Cuts 7/21.
036-3.jpg

2002 Donruss Elite Status 39/63.
038-3.jpg

2008 Donruss Elite Status Gold 21/24.
039-3.jpg

And rounding out this post one Russell Wilson addition. Topps Inception Patch 38/50.
017-9.jpg

More to come...

Now on to some sweet, sweet Skittles.

When I started picking up Lynch cards I decided not to put any restrictions on what I picked up. If I liked it, I would go for it, regardless of whether it pictured him as a Collegiate Cal Golden Bear, a Buffalo Bill, or a Seahawk. Well I finally added a couple of Buffalo Bills Lynch cards, and they just so happen to be Donruss Elite parallels.

2011 Topps Inception Green 62/75.
050-2.jpg

2011 Panini Gridiron Gear Silver X's 47/250.
051-2.jpg

2011 Panini Threads Gold 84/100.
053-2.jpg

2011 Finest Blue Refractors 85/99.
048-2.jpg

2011 Topps Prime Powder Blue 61/75.
049-2.jpg

2012 Elite Prime Numbers Gold 134/149.
052-2.jpg

2011 Topps Chrome Orange Refractor.
044-3.jpg

2011 Topps Chrome Black Refractor 70/299.
043-3.jpg

2012 Topps Chrome Refractor.
045-2.jpg

2012 Topps Chrome Prism Refractor 161/216.
046-1.jpg

2012 Topps Chrome Sepia Refractor 45/99.
047-2.jpg

2010 Donruss Elite Status Black 22/24.
037-3.jpg

2010 Donruss Elite Status 14/23.
041-3.jpg

2010 Absolute Memorabilia Spectrum Platinum 3/5.
042-3.jpg

That's all for now, thanks again for taking a look.

Cheers.
