Around this time last year I decided it was time to stop putting money into my hockey card collection while trying to get a life started with my new wife. My goal was to limit my hockey card budget to picking up the Leafs rookies from The Cup every year. Here is what I put together so far:
A couple of redemptions from last year that took way to long to arrive. I don't really need both so 1 is FT for other Leafs.
Next are a the Leafs from this year's Artifacts. I picked these up because I haven't been able to find a Colborne ARP for a price I like.
This is the only Cup Rookie I have actually ended up buying so far. Pretty much all white but it has a nice seam and a tiny bit of blue at the top.
Last, I picked these up when I realized I could get up all 3 for the same price as a Gardiner Cup ARP.
The Dominion ARP has a nicer patch than the Cup versions I've seen selling for twice as much. Also, 03/04 Titanium set was one of my all time favorites, and the last one ever made, so I was happy to pick up a nice card from this year's revival of it. The Mammoth jersey was under $10 shipped, so it makes a nice bonus.
I am still interested in picking up a nice Colborne rookie, but only if I can get it for the right price. Thanks for the look.
