Hello gang!

Hope all is well with everyone! :)

Well, in recent weeks, I decided to make an attempt to refill my trade pile in preparation for the busy trading season (although this Summer has been busy enough, lol :dizzy:). And as it worked out, I was able to pick up a decent-sized lot from fellow collector Jeffrey Drumm, who is unfortunately getting out of hockey :(...and I was also able to trade off some of my older basketball and baseball stuff for a couple other smaller hockey lots. :)

The OPC Blue leads me into my story. Several weeks ago, I came across a thread here in the Hobby Talk section started by Ern which basically asked for everyone to list a few of their "whales". Well, I was a bit late in finding the thread, as it was already several pages long, but I figured what the heck, and posted a few of my biggest wants that had been giving me fits for a long time. :dead:

I had noted on my post that one particular card from my list was actually listed on the bay at the time that I posted, but it was a paypal-only auction (which I don't have), and the listing (BIN/Best Offer) was actually only hours from ending...well, lo-and-behold, shortly thereafter, another member posted on the thread...

It was Brian, aka koondog44, and he had quoted and replied to my post, asking me to shoot him a PM with my best offer, and he would gladly go after the card on my behalf!! :eek::beer: And by night's end, Brian's offer was accepted by the seller, and bingo bango!! :dance: And fast-forward to a few days ago...here she is! :D....

VERY happy to knock this sucker off the wantlist, as besides the one pictured on Mario's site, I had never seen another one in the 2-1/2 years I had been collecting Zetty!! Thanks so much once again for the help, Brian!!

joshua buddy nice grab on all the goodies:D love seeing you going for lots of the limited logos, it is the nicest looking (i.e: picture, design) card of his from the cup in my opinion. i have also managed to put seven together and looking for more:crazy::dizzy:

P.S. do you know if clay is setting up the hockey pool again this year?

I agree...the Limited Logos subset is still by far my favorite from The Cup! :) It still baffles me as to why it's one of the higher #'d subsets in terms of production, while a subset like the EofE's, which have dinky little patch pieces, is #'d to just 15 copies :crazy:...but I'm not complaining! :D Between the 2 of us, we've got 20% of the print run (I've got 3 so far), so hopefully we don't get skunked on all of our returns this year! Oh, that's right...you only needed 1 redemption to nail that beauty last year :eek:;)...

I'm not sure about the pool as of yet...I'm still licking my wounds from last season! ;) Have you received your prize haul yet?

lol, well i actually needed two redemptions for last years;):) but he has hardly any nice big patch cards, so i think he is do this year:D (were golden;)) ya i did :owned: and to tell you the truth it was great just to have that much fun with the great people of HI. O, and this year you will do better;) just pick up a McKEENS and you will be set:D:beer:

It's one of those cards that makes you wonder after the fact whether or not you paid too much for it, lol, but then again, it was the first one that I had ever had a shot at, so I guess I won't know until I see another one sell, eh?! :rolleyes:

Funny thing is, before picking up the Hank red, I was trying to work out a deal with another guy that actually has a sealed 10-card red /100 set :eek:...I had made him a fair offer, but then he saw what I paid for the Hank single, and now he's getting cold feet, and holding the set hostage! :|

Not knowing what you paid for the card, i can tell you it was a good price:D

There are also the OPC Premier Red. Also Killers


I have problems with my FTP Program (and time:mad:) thats why i am not often here. But better times will come( i hope)

Great pickups Joshua! I'm glad I concentrate solely on Hank's autograph stuff as so many of the cards that you show are of the super scarce nature.
