Recent pick-ups (through Sept 29th)

Not a whole heck of a lot, but some fun stuff coming in.

First up, the sketch cards.

I have a small Mary Riley Benchwarmer collection and was wanting to add a Kiss card from '08. I had Buffy Tyler's card in my watchlist and inadvertantly set a snipe and didn't double-check the number, unfortunately.

Oh well. So then I went and got a Riley!

The last Riley--since I collected hockey for years, this was a welcome addition. Mary and some other gals:

I'm waiting for several Catwoman sketches to come in from Batman Archives, so this will have to suffice in the Catwoman department. Meow.

Lastly, an oddball of sorts. I have this weird "thing" for Lando Calrissian/Billy Dee Williams. This one is a /12 manufactured patch, which goes against
everything I'm interested in in the hobby, but hey, it's a Billy Dee Williams auto! It's supposed to spell out "Brian's Song". Yes, I realize that is only 11 characters, so I don't know what's going on with the numbering...

The next update should have some Batman Archives stuff incoming, and hopefully my Marvel Masterpieces Artist Proofs should be here soon, so stay tuned!

Ack, flashbacks of the Lettermarks O'Reilly, was it?

I have since been told that there are 12 of each letter, at least for the Lando, err, Williams. That should make 120 total (assuming no apostrophe is included). However, I was also told that there could only be 6 complete sets for the Williams since there are two N's and S's, so I assume that means there are 12 each of those letters as well.

In any event, I picked up a couple of redemptions relatively cheap. With my luck, when all is said and done I will end up with four or five A's.

I'm getting the standard "Athlete is committed to signing" message, which is a little amusing. Of course, for Billy Dee, being awesome is a sport.
