WASHINGTON -- The Washington Redskins agreed to terms Friday on a seven-year deal worth approximately $100 million with free-agent defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth.

Haynesworth, one of the more highly coveted free agents on the market, led the Tennessee Titans with a career-high 8½ sacks last season. He also had 75 tackles, 22 quarterback pressures, seven tackles for a loss and forced a team-high four fumbles.

Earlier Friday, the Redskins agreed on a six-year, $54 million contract with cornerback DeAngelo Hall.


Wow! I thought for sure Tennessee would make a serious effort to keep Haynesworth.

OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- The Baltimore Ravens -- hours after losing linebacker Bart Scott -- agreed to terms with former Atlanta Falcons cornerback Domonique Foxworth on a four-year, $28 million contract that includes $16.5 million in guaranteed money.

The former Maryland player drafted by the Denver Broncos in the third round of the 2005 NFL Draft will be introduced at a press conference at the Ravens' training complex Friday afternoon.

Foxworth was traded to the Falcons for a seventh-round draft pick last year.

The 5-foot-11, 180-pounder has 211 career tackles and four interceptions. Meanwhile, the Ravens cut veteran defensive end Marques Douglas.

Earlier Friday, the Ravens lost free-agent linebacker Scott to the New York Jets.
 
The Cleveland Browns traded talented but troublesome tight end Kellen Winslow on Friday to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for undisclosed draft picks.
 
The Minnesota Vikings acquired quarterback Sage Rosenfels from the Houston Texans on Friday and signed him to a two-year, $9 million contract.

Cassel an Vrabel to the Chiefs for a 2nd round pick. I feel like the Patriots have been robbed. Darn you Piolli. This might be the end of the Patriots as we know them.

Actually after thinking about it, maybe the Pats can get Ray Lewis. I'm sure Belichek knows what hes doing.

And we will see that Cassel is a scrub when he doesn't have Wes Welker, or Kevin Faulk to dump the Ball of to.
