Red Wing Letterman cards

After getting my second letterman (thanks Gspell), I noticed that neither had the traditional arch from the Red Wings jersey. The flat block name is from the preseason. I just think that it is odd that upper deck can come up with almost 400 letters from these four rookies from these jerseys. How is it that with only a dozen or so games they can get 400 letters for Helm?

I don't think the Lettermen are Game Used? I think the might be manufactured.
