Well I opened one box of Hot Prospects this past spring and of course with my luck I ended up with one of the few redemptions (Benoit Pouliot). Noticed the status yesterday that it was not going to be produced and to call for a replacement. Since it's a player/team I don't collect and a card I pulled I'm not really caring too much what I get, but I'm interested to see how UD deals in equality. The rep asked me for my teams and players and instead of giving him that information I simply told him that I purchased the box solely for the purpose of getting an Auto/Patch Rookie. With that in mind I told him that I didn't care what team it is or what player it is, but I want the card to be replaced with a comparable value Auto/Patch Rookie (basically another common).

This may sound simple, but I'm betting that I end up with a 3 or 4 year old jersey card of some middle of the road player that's been around for 10+ years (ie; Jeff O'Neill, Rod Brind'Amour, etc.) and a "vintage" auto of some guy that played 30 years ago for the California Golden Seals or Colorado Rockies that I've never even heard of.

I'll let you all know whether I win the bet ...

Maybe you should have gave them a team or 2 rather than taking a risk. You could have chosen a player you collect or even one that you know a team collector might be able to give you a trade on. Either way good luck...My Ryan Whitney The Cup 1/1 plate auto is still stuck in limbo...but I am hoping that I don't need to choose a replacment
